The MCP crew turn their attention to Tod Browning’s 1932 classic, FREAKS! With a bit of horror news thrown in, and stories of horror about poor Shotzi’s adventures in Mexico, this episode is a terror! Ah well, at least Dominic showed up sober.


EPISODE 17: FRIGHT NIGHT

Monster Candy is back with a drunken (in Dominic's case) and buzzed (in Shotzi's case) look at 1985's FRIGHT NIGHT! Screamin' E tries to hold it together with his bare hands! There is a lot to love about this movie, but there are a few bones to pick on this! Be patient with the episode. Please. It's worth it. Because FRIGHT NIGHT. Do it for FRIGHT NIGHT! YOU'RE SO COOL BREWSTER! 


EPISODE 16: HALLOWEEN (1978)

The Monster Candy crew return to take a close look at a horror classic, HALLOWEEN (1978). Taking time to compare it to others in the series, how John Carpenter's original vision was warped over time, and how the new movie will be picking up where this one left off. We also talk about the new Night Breed and Child's Play TV series being developed, and a new Leprechaun movie in the works. We also debate Netflix being less kind to horror. Get a taste of pure evil this week on MCP, and we aren't just talking about Screamin' E


EPISODE 15: HEREDITARY

This week the Monster Candy crew return to talk about "the scariest movie ever" (*ahem*) HEREDITARY, but it appears to have actually scared one of us....bad! We also touch on the return of the series we love and hate, AMERICAN HORROR STORY, a movie we want to be awesome, THE PREDATOR, the auctioning off of ASH VS. THE EVIL DEAD props, and a big IT exhibit! This episode is a scream!


EPISODE 14: HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES

 

This week MCP tackle Rob Zombie's 2003 directorial debut, HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES! How does it hold up? Have we finally found a movie to review that Dominic doesn't like? We also talk about Suicide Squad and Solo: A Star Wars Story because tangents!


EPISODE 13: HORROR NEWS ROUND-UP

Trying something new this week! The MCP have a roundtable discussion on the most recent horror related new items! Such as the casting IT 2: the electric boogaloo, the future of Evil Dead, Walking Dead departures, the new Spawn, Stephen King casting shade, DC Universe and if there is too many streaming services, and speculations on Devils Reject’s 2: 3 From Hell! Let us know what you think and if we should do more like this or if we should never do this again and forget this episode ever existed. YAY!


EPISODE 12: SILVER BULLET

The MCP crew have a howling good time with the 1985 werewolf cult classic, SILVER BULLET!  Based on a Stephen King novella, is it a unique werewolf movie, or a complete misfire? Also Shotzi talks about Bizarre TV! Dominic talks about Master of Horror. E puts up with us all. There's a bad moon rising and trouble on the way with this episode of Monster Candy Podcast


EPISODE 11: ASH VS. EVIL DEAD

Groovy! MCP crew take a moment of silence and reflect on the 3 seasons of crazy that was Ash Vs. Evil Dead! What did they get right? What did they get wrong? Will we miss it? Come get some! They also do a convention round-up with Shotzi telling stories of her adventures at the Canadian "Shock Stock" in London, Ontario, while Dominic and E went to Pasadena, CA "Monsterpalooza"! The good, the bad, the lines, and the ass grabs! It's all here baby, and it ain't just pillow talk! 


EPISODE 10: BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA


The MCP crew tackle 1992 Francis Ford Coppola epic, BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA and maybe have too much fun with it. They also talk about SANTA CLARITA DIET as this week's Netflix pic, the Super Monster Wolves that have taken over Japan's farms, and DEVIL'S REJECTS 2...it's probably one of the most fun episodes we've done! Buckle up blood bag! We are going for a ride! 


EPISODE 9: THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN

It's tough love time on Monster Candy Podcast, as we throw down some truth bombs for you, about the 1935 critically acclaimed classic, The Bride of Frankenstein! We know it's a favorite, but....does it really deserve to be? Hear us break it down and spoiler alert: we are brutal. We also talk about the return of The Leprechaun, an Elvira Boob Mouse Pad we want, and Bright Light Media's horror board game Mixtape Massacre that we played on Shotzi's birthday! 


EPISODE 8: THE GATE

You asked for it. You begged for it. Shotzi couldn't wait for it. E looked forward to it. Dominic didn't know how he felt about it. HERE IT IS!!! Monster Candy Podcast take on THE GATE, the 1987 classic that was Stephan Dorff's debut as an actor. Monster Candy Podcast put this movie through the paces....YOU'VE BEEN BAAAAAD!  We also touch on horror meets He-Man with Savage World! Dominic recommends THE VOID as his Netflix Pick!

For episode lucky number 7, Screamin' E, takes Shotzi Blackheart and Dominic Davi back to 1958, for one of his all time favorites: the black and white cult classic, FIEND WITHOUT A FACE where a scientist's atomic-powered thoughts materialize as deadly flying brains with trailing spinal cords! We also talk about the latest from ASH VS. THE EVIL DEAD, the upcoming superhero horror movie THE NEW MUTANTS, and Shotzi shares her Netflix Pick: the documentary HAUNTERS that she wants you all to see!


EPISODE 6: IT

This week, Shotzi BlackheartDominic Davi, and Screamin' E tackle "IT"! Both the recent 2017 release AND the classic 1990 TV mini-series! They explore the good, the bad, and the annoying for both versions! Which one do they pick as the definitive version or do they all float down there? Listen to find out!  We also talk about the upcoming Predator movie and just how original was The Shape Of Water anyway? 


EPISODE 5: THE VVITCH: A NEW-ENGLAND FOLKTALE

Dominic Davi shares one of his favorite modern horror movies, THE VVITCH with Shotzi Blackheart and Screamin' E, and they aren't so taken with the 2015 smash hit. Meanwhile, it's Kevin Bacon news time with the new Tremors TV series, the new Tremors movie and turns out Screamin' E was right about a second Nightmare On Elm Steet remake.


EPISODE 4: THE TINGLER

Monster Candy Podcast goes all the way back to 1959 to watch THE TINGLER, starring screen legend Vincent Price and produced and directed by the legendary William Castle this movie explores the spine-chilling sensation that people get when scared. It also explores LSD trips and the effect that "Percepto" has on a movie going audience.
